Resolution on the Establishment of a Latin American Bureau

The Third World Congress, with the aim of better coordinating and advancing our movement in Latin America, decides on the creation of a Latin American bureau of five members, four of whom it designates immediately. The fifth member will be appointed by the bureau itself, chosen from among the leading cadres of the Chilean section, subject to subsequent approval by the IS. A representative of the IS will attend the bureau at its outset.

One of the first tasks of the Latin American Bureau will be the publication of a theoretical review making known and defending revolutionary Marxism and the programme of the Fourth International throughout Latin America. The precise statutes governing the bureau's operation will be established subsequently by the IS.
