Issuing body: European Conference of the Fourth International

The European Conference of the Fourth International sends to all the sister sections its warmest revolutionary greetings. It addresses itself in particular to the American and British sections and to those of the colonies, confirming its entire solidarity with their struggles for the overthrow of their imperialist masters and for the junction of their revolution with the European revolution.

It expresses its unshakeable confidence in the destinies of the Fourth International and in the inevitable triumph of its programme in the coming and final struggle for the accomplishment of the world socialist revolution. It calls on the progressive currents that are breaking away from the old degenerate workers' organisations, whether social-democratic or Stalinist, as well as those that are forming in the present struggles outside the old frameworks, to join the ranks of the Fourth International as swiftly as possible, on the basis of true proletarian democracy.

The Conference turns with emotion to the many militants who have fallen victim to their commitment and their class struggle, beginning with the great figure of Comrade L. Trotsky.

It recalls to the memory of all the militants of the Fourth International, and of the entire proletariat, the memory and the example of the comrades who have fallen in France, in Greece, in Holland, in Poland, and elsewhere.

It sends its revolutionary greetings and its solidarity to the militants of the International who, in ever-growing numbers, fill the gaols of capitalist reaction, as well as to all revolutionary militants, awaiting the near day when the proletariat will have broken down the doors of their prisons.
